1. Pavement Ants

If left untreated, a carpenter ant infestation can lead to significant property damage.

3. Bed Bugs

Bed bugs are transported from place to place on clothing, luggage and other belongings. They usually hide in mattresses and crevices and cracks during the day and come out at night. Bed bug bites can cause allergic reactions, which can be severe, and secondary infections.

4. Mice and Rats

Mice and rats often enter homes looking for shelter and food. They can hide just about anywhere, but common hiding places include holes in walls, storage spaces, kitchen cupboards and attics. Mice and rats breed all year round and can transmit over 35 diseases.

5. Wasps

Wasps build nests in gutters, eaves, and near plants and flowers. They are also abundant in areas with small insects that are prey for mature wasps. Wasps are known to be aggressive. Their stings can be painful and can cause severe allergic reactions.

6. Cockroaches

Cockroaches are usually found in kitchens, ceilings, and wall cavities. They often enter houses for shelter and food and come out after dark to feed. Cockroaches carry bacteria that can contaminate food, leading to illnesses like gastroenteritis and salmonellosis. They can also trigger allergies and asthma attacks.
